Tanzania
This video was made by our local film team in Tanzania, and shows a glimpse into the ministry being done by Here’s Life Africa there. Witchcraft is extremely prevalent in Tanzania, but when people meet Jesus, everything changes.
Laamu met Jesus when an HLA team showed the Jesus Film in his village. Life change always follows heart change, and for Laamu, turning toward Jesus meant turning away from his family’s generational practice of witchcraft. He now spends his days teaching the Bible and leading in his village church.
Laamu is an excellent example of the life change that happens through the ministry being done by Here’s Life Africa. When you give to HLA, your giving goes directly to the ministry being done by indigenous ministry leaders who are presenting the Gospel in rural, isolated villages in Tanzania.

1. 1997 - HLA pioneered indigenous mission work in Tanzania. Local, indigenous Christians started taking the Jesus Film to rural villages. They would be in that village for four days- showing the Jesus Film, leading worship, preaching the Gospel, and praying with people.
2. 2012 - HLA pioneered the addition of discipleship follow-up that is created for oral cultures such as that of Tanzania. Once people in a village accept Christ, they are equipped with an audio Bible. Many can not not read, but being able to listen to the Word of God in their indigenous language is life changing. After the HLA team leaves, they continue to grow in their faith and knowledge of God by meeting as a new church, or LAMP group to worship together and learn from the audio Bible. 3. 2022 - HLA founded the Seminary of Life, a leadership initiative to train indigenous pastors and ministry leaders and help them grow in their leadership skills for the growth and benefit of their local church.
The Seminary of Life is edifying and unifying a small group of key leaders from 4 denominations and from 4 major cities across Tanzania!
The fact that this initiative is interdenominational has had incredible impact on the unification of the Body of Christ in Tanzania!
