Butch is a native Texan from San Antonio. After graduating from The University of Texas as a business major, he embarked on a business career that began with sales jobs at two fortune 500 companies and then as Executive VP of a start-up medical computer software firm . During those first 10 years out of college, he learned the lessons that would prepare him for the entrepreneurial endeavors that would follow. Business start-ups included instant printing, construction and a chain of convenience stores that pioneered the concept of fast food and self service gasoline. That led to formation of a branded wholesale motor fuel operation. But the common denominator in all these ventures was commercial real estate either as a tenant, developer or landlord and by the mid nineties, the business operations had all been sold. Self storage real estate development and ranching interests became the primary focus for what is now the Daughtry family partnership interests. Butch and wife, Kaye, have twin sons, four grandchildren and are long time members of the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio where they are active in various ministries.
